Dar es Salaam is a well established city of Tanzania, housing number of incredible tourist attractions, one of which is Ruaha National Park. This park has derived its name from the great Ruaha River. It is the second biggest national park in Tanzania, covering the land area of about 12950 square km, which includes dry savanna.

Location: This world famous national park of Tanzania is located in Central Tanzania, 128km (80 miles) west of Iringa.  It is 10 hours drive from Dar-es-Salaam.

Flora & Fauna: With breath taking flora & fauna, Ruaha National Park attracts thousands of visitors all year round from across the world.

Flora: Flora in Ruaha National Park is just unbelievable, housing Miombo woodlands, Acacia woodlands, Riverine forests and Terminalia scrub etc.

Ruaha National Park is home to 10,000 elephants and large number of other animals like - leopard buffalos, lions, cheetahs, crocodiles, turtles, hippos, sables & roan antelopes, wild dogs, grant's gazelle and tiny dik-diks. Besides, it is also a bird watcher’s paradise housing 450 bird species in Ruaha and Rungwa areas.

Best Time to Visit: The Park remains open all year round, but the best time to come here is during the dry season that is July to October.
